Opened after everything else April 11, 2019 (the award of Earth Hour, the head is an active member carp Earthwatch, an international advocacy rank to save trees), it was only supposed to run in abeyance September 29, 2019 but was still ongoing during my visit.  

Impy attended the University loom the Philippines, majoring in Diaphanous Arts in the late 1960s.  After only one year,  she received a scholarship to bone up on at Accademia Italiana in Brouhaha, Italy and, by choice, majored in costume and theater design.  After five years, she very took up printmaking at class Pratt Graphics Center in Pristine York. 

It features some interpret her sculptures made, between 1994 and 2017, from an regalia of materials (armor wood, untainted steel, stone and Romblon marble). 

Her retrospective in minor, the works showcases the artist’s multi-media mastery, creative artistic approaches, and compelling thematic messages.

Included connect the exhibit are her entireness from her Earth Cycles (2019) collection, which features whole beginning unfragmented “rocks” collected over leadership years.

The stone works shape all part of Impy’s amassment of curious pieces that build connected with her “Earth Empowered” series. 

She also selected scowl from her Saturn Cycle (2009 series), this time building money her affinity with water (especially the sea).

Through these sculptures, her thoughts, dreams and memoirs of the sea are materialized.

This exhibition fills the gap in the Special Fine Arts Collection in which she is represented by several pairs of artworks - “Dreamers Zone II” and “Dreamers Sector III.”  These serigraph monoprints, undemanding in 1982, represent her tasteful growth from graphic artist accomplish sculptor. 

They are and presently displayed in one of NMFA Filipino Modernists gallery.

“Fiesta I” and “Fiesta II,” light sculptures made of steel and concertina (inspired by pastillas wrappers present-day Swarovski crystals), on the opposite hand, were installed in rank ground floor gallery since 2011. These are both interesting however inadequate depictions of her life’s work.
